Never written a formula? Start with Basic Training, the free course, instead.

Who this is for

βœ… Buy it if

  • You use Sheets several times a week and keep googling the same formulas
  • You can total a column, but you still paste VLOOKUP from a search result and hope
  • You have watched Sheets videos for months and still freeze on a blank grid
  • A job posting says "advanced spreadsheet skills" and you want that to be true
  • You finished the free Basic Training course and want the real thing

βœ• Skip it if

  • You already write QUERY and ARRAYFORMULA without looking them up
  • You work in Excel and are not moving to Sheets. The grading only runs in Google Sheets
  • You want Apps Script, coding or automation, which this does not cover
  • You want to learn by watching. Progress here only comes from typing

You already know enough Sheets to be dangerous

You can total a column. You have used VLOOKUP, mostly by copying one that worked last time. When it breaks you google it, paste something in, and hope.

That is not a knowledge problem. It is a reps problem. You have read about these formulas plenty. You have just never had to write forty of them in a row with something checking your work.

This course is 193 of those reps, in order, with instant feedback on every one.

This is not a video course

There is nothing wrong with the videos. They are just not where the learning happens, and everybody who has finished one and then frozen on a blank grid already knows it.

A $10 video course, or YouTube

  • β€’ You watch someone else type
  • β€’ Nothing checks whether you could do it
  • β€’ It feels like progress, which is the trap
  • β€’ You open a blank sheet on Monday and freeze

The Bootcamp

  • β€’ You type the formula
  • β€’ The Sheet checks it the moment you press Enter
  • β€’ Wrong gets a reason that names what you missed
  • β€’ You repeat it until it is automatic. 193 times

The course is the Sheet. You learn by doing, not watching.

The Sheet grades you, instantly

Type a formula in the answer cell. The check fires the moment you press Enter. No submit button, no waiting, no watching someone else do it.

❌ Right number, typed by hand. Write the formula.

It reads your formula

Type the answer by hand and the check says so. You have to write the formula.

Wrong gets a reason

Not a red X. A line that names what you missed, like a range that needs locking.

Hints on demand

Every exercise has one behind a checkbox. Struggle first, peek when you choose to.

🎬

So are there videos, or not?

There are 37. For a lot of the formulas there is a short reference video linked right next to the exercise, inside the Sheet. If you get stuck, click it, watch me do it once, then come back and type it yourself.

The goal is 193 reps, not 193 video views.

What you will be able to do in about two weeks

Not "understand VLOOKUP". These are the four things you build yourself during the course, and every one of them is a job somebody at work will hand you.

πŸ’°

Open any expense export and turn it into a budget

Totals, a category breakdown, and a verdict cell that says whether the month came in under. You build this one in Capstone 1.

🧹

Open any messy file somebody emails you and clean it

Strip the stray spaces, fix the inconsistent names, work out how late each delivery ran, price it against the catalog, and catch the purchase order somebody used twice.

πŸ“Š

Open any pile of transactions and hand back a dashboard

KPI tiles, a store and category breakdown, a trend line, and a top 5 that reranks itself when the numbers change. Off 300 real rows, read in five seconds.

πŸ—‚οΈ

Open any contact list and build a system on it

De-duped, validated so bad entries cannot get in, history you can look up, and follow-up flags that set themselves.

The Final Project

One build that uses every module. Nothing new, everything at once.

🏁

Final Project: Mini CRM

10 graded checks

Build a contact system end to end. De-dupe the list, validate the inputs, look up the history, then automate the follow-up flags. It unlocks when all nine modules are done.

Everything you get

You are not buying content to watch. You are buying 193 graded reps, a safety net for the moments you get stuck, and proof you can cash in at work.

βœ…

193 auto-graded reps

The product itself. Every answer is checked the moment you press Enter, green check or a nudge that names the concept. The Sheet even catches a hand-typed number and asks for a real formula. This is the practice nobody ever made you do.

🎯

4 real builds you keep

Kills "I will never use this at work." You leave with a budget tracker, a supplier intake cleaner, a sales dashboard and a mini CRM that you built yourself. Adapt any of them for your own job the same week.

πŸ›Ÿ

A safety net for when you are stuck

Kills "what if I hit a wall alone." Every exercise has a hint behind a checkbox and a wrong answer gets a nudge that names the missed concept. Optional short reference videos for many of the formulas, 37 of them, linked from inside the Sheet. Still stuck? Reply to any email and I answer.

πŸ““

Practice that outlives the course

Kills "I will forget it all in a month." A cheat-sheet tab with every function, its syntax and a worked example, plus 7 bonus workbooks with 204 extra self-checking exercises. Re-drill any skill the week your job actually needs it.

πŸ†

Proof you can point at

Kills "how do I show this." Finish all 193 checks and a personalized certificate unlocks with your name on it. Between the certificate and the four builds, "advanced spreadsheet skills" stops being a stretch.

♾️

One payment, yours forever

Kills "another subscription." The course is a Google Sheet in your own Drive. No login, no expiry, no renewal. New lessons land in the master and you re-copy it any time, free.

What this is, and what it is not

It is deliberately not all of Google Sheets. That is the whole point. A course you finish beats a course that covers everything.

βœ… This is

  • β€’ The formulas and habits that cover the everyday work: lookups, conditional math, logic, text and dates, clean inputs, pivots, charts, QUERY
  • β€’ Hands on from the first minute. You type every formula yourself
  • β€’ Graded, so you find out you are wrong in one second instead of one week
  • β€’ Small enough to actually finish

βœ• This is not

  • β€’ Apps Script or any kind of coding
  • β€’ Advanced automation, API pulls or connected-sheet work
  • β€’ Specialist depth on dashboards or modeling. You will build a dashboard here, but a dashboard specialist course goes further
  • β€’ A sit-back-and-watch video course. Short explainers back up the lessons where they help, but you are in the sheet doing the work, not watching someone else do it

The last 10% of jobs needs the other 90% of Sheets. That is what the deeper courses are for, and finishing this one is how you find out which you actually want.

How it works

1

Buy once, copy the Sheet

One payment. You get a link that drops your own private copy into your Google Drive. No app, no login, no platform to learn.

2

Work through the 193 checks

Type a formula, press Enter. Right moves your progress bar. Wrong gets a reason that names the concept you missed, not a red X. A hint sits behind a checkbox whenever you want one.

3

Finish, and keep it

Pass all 193 and your certificate unlocks with your name on it. The Sheet stays in your Drive forever, and you can re-copy the master any time you want a refresh or a new lesson lands.

Hey, I'm Ryan πŸ‘‹

I create every tutorial on this site. I built the Bootcamp because I kept watching people finish a video course, open a blank spreadsheet, and freeze. Watching is not practice. Typing a formula and getting told immediately whether it worked is.

So the whole course lives in a spreadsheet. Every exercise is graded by formulas inside the Sheet itself, which took a while to build and is the reason the feedback is instant instead of a quiz at the end of a module.

If you get stuck anywhere, reply to any email I send. I read every one.

πŸ›‘οΈ

Try it for 30 days

If it is not for you, reply to any email I send, say so, and I refund you. No form. No quiz. No "what did you not like about it".

Questions

What exactly do I get?

One Google Sheet with 17 tabs: 9 teaching modules, 4 capstone projects, a progress dashboard, a certificate tab and a cheat sheet. Plus 7 bonus practice workbooks with 204 extra exercises. You get force-copy links, so every file lands in your own Google Drive.

How is this different from the free course?

Basic Training, the free course, is 19 exercises and about 40 minutes. It teaches you to write a formula. The Bootcamp is 193 exercises across 9 modules and 4 projects, and it teaches you to do a job with a spreadsheet. If Basic Training felt too easy, this is the one you want.

How long does it take?

Most people finish in 10 to 15 hours spread over two or three weeks. There is no schedule and no drip. Your copy saves as you go, so you can do one module a night or the whole thing on a Saturday.

Do I need to install anything?

No. You need a free Google account and a browser. There is no app, no Apps Script and no extension. The course is a normal Google Sheet.

How does a spreadsheet grade my work?

Formulas built into the Sheet read your answer cell and compare it to a known correct value. Some checks read the formula text itself, so writing =VLOOKUP correctly is what passes, not pasting the answer. Every check shows either a green check mark or a specific nudge.

Does it work in Excel?

No. This is a Google Sheets course and the grading engine uses Sheets formulas. Most of the concepts transfer, but the exercises will not run in Excel.

Is it beginner friendly?

It starts at navigation and number formatting, so a nervous beginner can start here. But it moves fast. If you have never typed a formula, do the free Basic Training course first and come back.

Are there videos?

Yes, 37 of them, linked right next to the exercises they belong to. They are optional reference for when you are stuck, not the main event. Every exercise is you typing in the grid, and the whole course works without pressing play once.

How long do I have access?

Forever. The course is a Google Sheet that lives in your own Google Drive, so there is nothing to expire and no subscription to cancel. When I add lessons to the master, you can re-copy it free, any time.

Does it cover Apps Script, macros or automation?

No, and that is deliberate. This is formulas and spreadsheet craft: lookups, logic, text and dates, clean inputs, pivots, charts and QUERY. There is no code in it anywhere, and you never need to open the script editor.

What support do I get?

You email me and I answer. Every exercise also has a hint behind a checkbox and a nudge that names the concept you missed, so most sticking points resolve without needing me at all. There is no community or forum, and there are no live calls.

What if it is not for me?

There is a 30-day money back guarantee. Reply to any email I send, say it was not for you, and I refund you. No forms, no questions.

What if I get stuck?

Every exercise has a hint behind a checkbox, and the nudge text tells you which concept you missed. If you are still stuck, reply to any email and I will answer.
